With Swiss Post, terreActive gains a partner to strengthen cyber security expertise in Switzerland

terreActive AG brings its cyber security expertise to Swiss Post and further complements its existing offering for the security and protection of services and data. Together with terreActive, Swiss Post can offer companies and public authorities a comprehensive range of secure cyber security solutions and protect digital, confidential information and data even better.

terreActive has developed into a leading company for cyber security solutions over the past 25 years. With 90 employees, it ensures the security of its customers - 24/7. The comprehensive range of services protects against the rapidly growing cyber threats. Cyber-attacks are detected and combated in the modern Security Operations Centre (SOC). «With Swiss Post Communication Services, we have chosen a strong partner that optimally supports our growth strategy. We are convinced that together we are even better positioned for our customers and at the same time can offer our employees an even more interesting working environment,» says Marc-Yves Bächli, founder of terreActive.

Strengthening the cyber security competence in Switzerland

Swiss Post has been facilitating the everyday lives of Swiss citizens with its services for almost 175 years. Today, this everyday life is also increasingly taking place in the digital world. For this reason, Swiss Post is investing in the security and confidentiality of information and data. Therefore, Swiss Post is taking over the majority of shares in the cyber security company terreActive AG from Aarau on 3 July 2023. Swiss Post is securing important know-how to offer companies and authorities an even more effective and comprehensive range of secure cyber security solutions. Swiss Post is strengthening its role as a trusted carrier of sensitive customer and company information. «In view of the growing number of cyber attacks and threats, we’re continuing to invest in digital security. It takes top priority – for our customers, but also for our own products. In the digital age, we want to ensure that messages can only actually be viewed by the recipients that have been clearly defined by the sender,» explains Nicole Burth, Head of Communication Services at Swiss Post. Cyber security is a key element of the services that Swiss Post provides in the digital world.

The partnership complements Swiss Post's cybersecurity offering in the German-speaking part of Switzerland

Last year, Swiss Post acquired a majority stake in the cyber security company Hacknowledge SA in Morges, which is one of the market leaders in the field of «managed detection and response» in the French-speaking part of Switzerland. Like Hacknowledge, terreActive will continue to operate independently, and there will be no change for customers or for the 90 employees, who will remain with terreActive AG.
